……because sometimes you just want your cookies to ‘go big or go home.’

This is the same recipe I shared with you a while ago. You know, the recipe I came up with for a special friend who is an absolute Hershey Bar lover. Last time I shared it, I baked these cookies in the form of mini cookie ‘muffins.’
This time? A cookie almost as large as your hand. At this size, these cookies are perfect bake sales, individually wrapped for party favors, or {the reason I baked them yesterday} as treats simply baked to delight middle schoolers.

Ingredients:
- 5 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 cup {2 sticks} butter
- 1 cup {2 sticks} margarine
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 4 large eggs
- 3 Tablespoons strong coffee {cooled} OR 3 Tablespoons milk
- 4 cups chopped Hershey Bar {about 4 of the 7 oz giant bars}
- Optional: Hershey bar segments {from regular sized Hershey Bars} for decoration
Directions:
PREHEAT the oven to 350.
Combine flour, soda, and salt in a bowl. Cream butter, margarine, sugars, vanilla, and coffee {or milk} in a mixing bowl. Beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chopped chocolate. Drop by level ICE CREAM Scoop onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 15-17 minutes, until golden brown.
Immediately upon removing from the oven, top each cookie with a Hershey Bar segment. Cool on cookie sheets for 2 minutes. Carefully {so as not to disturb the liquefied chocolate} move to wire rack until completely cool and the chocolate sets again. Makes 32-34 giant cookies.

These are tons of fun and will be a gigantic hit with adults and kids alike.
XO, Sara
