when I actually get dressed…..

I’ll be completely honest. {what else is new, right?}  I hardly ever get dressed in real grown up clothes.  I stay at home and the only time during the week that I ever go anywhere is to workout.{true story}  Ninety percent of the time I am dressed in workout gear when I leave the house.  Even the days when I run errands, I usually combine them with trip to the gym.  I am ALWAYS in workout gear.

Which means that {excepting those rare times when my husband and I sneak out for a date} Sunday is MY BIG DAY!  The day I get to have fun with my wardrobe! Given that, you may think that I pull out all the stops and dress & accessorize to the nines. But let’s face it, I’m not getting ready to walk the red carpet.  I am going off to church, 3 kids in tow, and most likely doing house chores up until the moment I walk out the door {and subsequently, the moment I walk back through the door.}.

My age, my body type, and my stage in life {and even my locale} all prevent me from going over the top where fashion is concerned.  But I LOVE IT!! So, how does this rural, 30~something, wife & mom of three mix personal style with the reality of life as ………me?

Something like this……….

Hanbag: allisajacobs
necklace: twilypop

Seriously, the Gap tee and khakis could NOT have been more comfortable.   And the COLOR??Well, you know me and color……

The whole outfit was just plain fun to wear.
And isn’t that what fashion should really be about?

P.S. If you’re insanely jealous about my cankles, what can I say? Some girls just have it ALL…. (:-/)
