The Weekend Update with Twillypop

Hi! I’ve been missing all of you.  I have been neglecting my own blog as well as all of yours!! Real life gets in the way of all the cyberspace fun sometimes, you know?  I really just wanted to drop in to say hi. Hi.

You will notice that there are tabs across the  top of my blog where I have started new pages for any new items I create while I am closed.  I have been toying with opening my shop back up for the summer. IS she LOCO?  Ummmm, I thought we had covered that: YES!!!

The kids’ school is over, and I have made another big change in my schedule which may allow time for the shop until school resumes.  BUT….I have a ton of work to do before I will be able to re-open, so time will tell……

I am also planning to start  a tab above for updates on achieving my fitness goals, but so far there hasn’t been much to tell.  The weight really hasn’t budged……. I can’t imagine WHY….. I will say that the running part is coming along.  I ran 6.5 miles yesterday fairly effortlessly and have made the decision to run the 15k Boilermaker Road Race again this year. So, if you’re on route 28, and you happen to see a linebacker in tights running at 6am, that’s me training for the race.  So, yay! I made a commitment and set a goal……I hardly recognize myself 😀

Thanks for coming by. If you feel so inclined, leave a comment and tell me what’s been going on with you!

I started a new Saturday series called “Songs I’m Pondering Saturdays” so if you are in the Twillypop.Blogspot neighborhood on the weekends, pop in! Have great weekend and I’ll  “see” you soon!

I cannot tell you how much I love that you stopped by! Sign up to receive my latest Twillypop articles, recipes, and miscellaneous fun right into your inbox.

  1. Crazy…..check. I’ve gotten your straight jacket fitted, so don’t lose too much weight. I don’t want you wiggling out on me. :O)

I hear a road trip is being formulated….. Hello Iowa?!?!?!

  2. Life can throw many different balls at you — just make sure you catch the right ones!

  3. SWEET! I am so excited for you that you are signing up for the 15K – way to go Sara! You are motivating me to get my butt in gear and go out and exercise this week. It’s been raining incessantly here, and my parents were in town visiting, so I slacked. But I did pick about 12 pounds of strawberries and spend a whole day on my feet processing them (jam, chocolate covered strawberries, freezing them…) Does that count as exercise?

  4. Okay, I had a nice comment in my head, then read Diane’s and got distracted! YEAH IOWA!!!!! We have roads to run on…. and we have races if that’s your cup of tea… You could have 3 cheerleaders cheering you on from the sidelines!!! 😉
    Miss you!

  5. Its great you are going to do a 15K … I really don’t think I could run 15m never mind 15K !!

I am struggling with some flab right now … I know what I need to do but I simply don’t have the will-power right now.

  6. Look at you, miss thang! So proud of you for setting goals and sticking with it. I know that I am definitely looking forward to increasing my walk from a waddle to a gallop, once this baby is born!

    Hope you are doing well!

  7. You know you want to sell. And why7 shouldn’t you since you had a cute shop? We will only let you close and reopen so many times tho. *wink*
I couldn’t run from here to my refrigerator so you are light years ahead of me. Keep it up, even if you don’t lose weight it is still good for you.

  8. Wow, 6.5 miles!!! Wow, you go girl! Have a great weekend.

  9. Heck, even in the military all I could run was a mile and a half. But that is all I had to run to pass, lol.

  10. You’re my hero! I’m a terrible runner and get winded almost immediately. I’ll be cheering you on, though!!!
