300 Pound Woman Makes a Storm Trooper Cake and Runs Races

Admittedly, while somewhat pertinent to the post, the title was a ploy to draw you in.. Today I have the honor of receiving a blog award but didn’t want you to see ‘blog award’ as the title and skip over me!  I LOVE when you come by my blog & I’m always thirsty for more! I think today you’ll find me in quite “a mood” as I am only two days away from a vacation in South Carolina….just me and my mama! Woo-triple-stinkin’-Hoo! Yes, it is bittersweet to leave the fam behind, but the fun, sun, break from housework, & the repetetiveness of my wonderfully mundane routine ALWAYS does me a world of good! I’m “sharpening the saw” as Steven Covey puts it in his Seven Habits series.  Getting off the beaten path for a bit, in order to be refreshed and more effective in the life I lead.  Good stuff, but I digress!
The blog award was bestowed upon my by the lovely Jessica Warrick of Punk Rock Momma. Thanks, Jessica! The rules: pass it on to five other bloggers and tell five things about myself:
5) At one point in my life I tipped the scales at almost 300 pounds and  wore a (tight) size 26 jeans. Yup, I look like if a pin pricked me I might POP!  (More on this in a later post :D)
4)I once made a storm trooper helmet entirely out of cake (& black licorice)
3) I have run five 15k races, a 10k, and two 5k’s and I can tell you most assuredly that “slow and steady” DOES NOT win the race…..but it’s still fun!
2)I have a “thing”  for Bono (the lead singer of the rock band U2.)  For as long as I can remember I have been enamored with him.  I don’t know why, it’s not even really a ‘crush’ in the traditional sense.  I just……..want to hang out with him….really badly.  And since there is no way this will happen in my lifetime, I have this secret hope that we get to hang in heaven. (Come on, you totally knew I was this crazy)
1) My absolute favorite movie of all time is : Napoleon Dynamite. I don’t have the time or space to list the ways I think this is one of the best movies ever. I actually categorize people in one of two categories, people who get it & love it OR people who don’t. 😀 Which one are you?
And now…..to pass it on to five of my beautiful blogger friends:
~Bina @ Bina’sPad
As always, I SO appreciate you stopping by.  I wish I could pass five questions on to you, to get to know you better.  If you feel like leaving a comment, I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to hear a random little known fact or two about YOU!
I cannot tell you how much I love that you stopped by! Sign up to receive my latest Twillypop articles, recipes, and miscellaneous fun right into your inbox.
